At Bordner, we believe in exceptional customer service at the highest level. Well-versed in customer service, we realize no deed is too small and can impact lives beyond measure, which is why we are offering a scholarship for students interested in business and marketing. The winner of the annual $1,000 Bordner Scholarship will display academic excellence and understanding of the assigned writing prompt.
- Be pursuing a career in business, business management, marketing, or similar field.
- Maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Write and submit a 1,500-2,000 word essay entitled “Bordner Scholarship.”
- Include their full name and .edu email address in essay document.

⁻ Bordner will submit the amount of $1,000 to the financial aid office corresponding to the winning student’s .edu email address.
⁻ All submissions will be judged by Bordner, and Bordner reserves the right to withhold disbursement in the event that no applicant meets Bordner’s requirements for academic excellence and understanding the essay prompt.
⁻ The elected winner may be asked to provide personal identification information to verify enrollment.
⁻ Bordner has the right to withhold the award if the winning applicant does not meet the eligibility requirements at the time of disbursement.
⁻ Bordner employees and immediate family are not eligible to apply for the Bordner Scholarship.
⁻ Students reapplying for the following year are required to follow the same terms and conditions and submit a new essay to be eligible to participate in the scholarship again.
Bordner respects the privacy of its scholarship applicants, and will keep confidential any personally identifiable information provided by a scholarship applicant in the context of applying for a scholarship. Bordner will only use said information for the purpose for which it was collected (i.e., verifying scholarship eligibility and/or contacting the applicant about the scholarship). Bordner will not transfer (including but not limited to sharing, selling, renting, or trading) a scholarship applicant’s personally identifiable information to third parties unless the applicant explicitly grants Bordner permission to do so, and Bordner will not use a scholarship applicant’s personally identifiable information to sell and/or advertise its products and/or services to the applicant, unless otherwise specified in the scholarship rules. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Bordner reserves the right to disclose a scholarship applicant’s personally identifiable information as required to comply with any applicable laws or as necessary to protect Bordner’s rights, and Bordner also reserves the right to alter this policy at any time with or without notice.
